In June 2009, 70 mph winds dropped this huge tree on our EquiSafe HDPE fence.
We were sure the fence was destroyed. It took hours with a chain saw to cut the heavy tree away.
We cut off the rails. But by the next day, the posts were warmed by the sun and stood back up. This dent is the only damage that remains.
This is the fence the next day. My wife reused all the rails that were not cut too short. All the rails warmed up in the sun and straightened right out. We mistakenly cut them off too short to reuse because we were sure they were destroyed.
We were impressed with this fence before and have received many compliments on it. People who don't know us personally know of our ranch "with the nice fence." This downed tree would have shattered a wood or PVC fence and badly damaged a steel pipe fence. But this incident has convinced us that there isn't a better horse fence on the market.
